Last Days in May 2025

Annette and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time in Bath and are looking forward to the final few days of May. We plan to visit Winchester, an ancient city that served as the residence of Anglo-Saxon kings, providing me with further insights into history. I very much enjoy learning the historical background of each destination we visit. Even if the source of information is Wikipedia, I genuinely find learning to be enjoyable.

Tomorrow, we will rent a car. We are very much looking forward to drives through the English countryside. Driving on the left hand side of the road will be interesting! Our itinerary includes several destinations within an hour’s drive of our accommodation during our stay in Winchester. Looking forward to sharing about each destination soon.

It is such a blessing to be able to pursue our dream of travel and learn the historical significance of each place we visit. We both have moments of overwhelming thankfulness that we get to experience new places and learn history that truly comes alive when actually visiting someplace we have only read about in textbooks.

I leave with a quote that I found recently that is spot-on. “Collect moments, not things.” - Unknown
