London π¬π§ Summer Heat Wave
Annette & I have returned to London for another visit before we explore the UK a bit more. We both made comments that we hoped our return visit to London would be warm enough to not have to wear our coats.
Well, our wish was granted! It is officially hot in London. To go from needing a coat to 90 here is quite a shock, even for this Florida boy. This heat wave is a shock for Londoners as well. It is +23 above average. The heat wave should be breaking tomorrow, which is great news for the locals.
Annette & I were totally enamored with London the last time we were here in April. Well, now we are even more enchanted with this beautiful city that has so much to offer for travelers that are willing to just walk around and explore.
Walking and just enjoying this beautifully diverse city is exactly what we have done again the past 3 days. We are averaging 7.5 miles a day walking in the city, which is easy in the morning. When the heat kicks up around 14:00 hrs, we come in for a little break from the heat before venturing outside for a walk in the evening.
London is very walkable since it is mostly flat and pedestrian-friendly, that is unless you explore Piccadilly Circus or Chinatown, which of course we have done.
Until Next Timeβ¦
