Japan šŸ‡ÆšŸ‡µ October 2025

From October 9th to 31st, we had the privilege of exploring two major cities of this beautiful country. Reflecting on our time there, I’m struck by how much we enjoyed it. I knew we would, but I had no idea how much it would captivate our hearts. It was an incredible way to kickstart our journey through Southeast Asia.

From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by the organization, cleanliness, and respectful nature of the Japanese people. The trains and mass transit system are incredible. Although it was initially intimidating, we learned the system and became much more comfortable navigating Tokyo and Osaka. (Google Maps is an absolute lifesaver šŸ˜€)

Everywhere we walked, we couldn’t help but ask each other, ā€œWhy does Japan smell so good?ā€ The delightful aromas of food lingered in the air as we passed by restaurants. The food is truly fantastic, especially if you’re a fan of fish. Traditional Japanese cooking often lacks vegetables, but we discovered a few great places that offered salads and a fantastic hamburger joint in Osaka that we thoroughly enjoyed.

We’re already thinking about a return trip to explore even more of this country. There’s so much to see and do here that we could (and will) spend more time visiting. There’s still so much more to discover that we didn’t have time for during this trip.

Until Next Time….
